The preparation of N-containing functionalized porous organic polymers for selective synthesis of C3-alkylated indoles and triazine derivatives?

Abstract
A pyridine and pyrazole-based ruthenium porous organic polymer Ru@Py-POP was synthesized and fully characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and N2 sorption isotherms. It was observed that Ru@Py-POP played a key role in the selective synthesis of C3-alkylated indoles via a borrowing hydrogen strategy. Meanwhile, Ru@Py-POP could be also used for the synthesis of triazine derivatives via a dehydrogenation coupling reaction. In addition, Ru@Py-POP demonstrated broad applicability, high stability, and good recyclability with an extended scope of substrates. Preliminary mechanistic explorations were conducted to study these two transformations.
