New Fluorescent 1,3-Benzothiazoles by the Reaction ofHeterocyclic Aldehydes withortho -Aminobenzenethiol

Abstract
Fluorescent thienyl-1,3-benzothiazoles 2 andphenothiazinyl-1,3-benzothiazoles 5 are synthesised in60–80% yields, characterised by spectroscopic means andtheir fluorescence properties evaluated.
