Abstract
Nitrogen heterocycles are prepared using hot pressurized water under microwave and thermal conditions. Selective reduction, cyclodehydrations (Friedl?nder and Pfitzinger syntheses), Suzuki coupling, and ligand exchange have been effected in water or water–protic solvent media.
