Abstract

PhBrF3, a liquid under ambient conditions, has been crystallised via two different methods, resulting in the formation of non-identical solid-state phases with very similar packing efficiencies but markedly different packing motifs, both of which appear to be directed by classically weak intermolecular halogenhalogen interactions.
