Abstract

A DABCO catalyzed, novel and efficient one-pot, four component protocol has been developed for the synthesis of (Z)-5-(3-hydroxy-2-oxoindolin-3-yl)-2-iminothiazolidin-4-one scaffolds under metal-free conditions. By virtue of simple and readily available starting materials, mild reaction conditions, and the high bioactivity of oxindole derivatives, this reaction promises diverse applications in medical chemistry.
